THE TIMELINE

SAVE THE DATES

We suggest to mail out your save the dates 8-12 months prior to your wedding date!

WEDDING INVITATIONS

As time progresses, we have seen a shift in when "wedding season" is - now, couples get married during all seasons!

We follow the below timeline when working with couples on their wedding invitations. It's important to understand, while we are working closely with you and your family, we are also working with many other couples.

The below timeline is based on our average workload and production schedule.

CONSULTATION MEET

6-7 months prior to your wedding date.

ORDER APPROVAL

4-8 weeks prior to your pick-up date.

There is a range for this deadline as a digitally printed suite with no "extras" will have a quicker turnaround time than an order that is foil and/or letterpress with wax seals, liners, etc.

Depending on the details of your order, we will schedule an approval date for your suite (invitation + inserts) and a secondary approval date for your envelopes. This will give you a little extra time to gather your final guest list of names and addresses while your invitation and inserts are in production.

PICK-UP DATE
(add a couple buffer days for shipped orders)

11-13 weeks prior to the wedding date / 1-2 weeks prior to mailing out.

You will need time to visit your local post office to have them weigh one fully assembled invitation suite to advise on postage costs.

Additional time may be needed to order postage from USPS.com that may not be in stock at your local post office.

MAIL OUT DATE

10-12 weeks prior to the wedding date.

It's often said to mail out invitations 6-8 weeks before your wedding date, however, that only allows your guests 2-4 weeks notice before they have to respond.

We suggest to mail out 6-8 weeks prior to your response date, which is 10-12 weeks prior to your wedding date.

Please follow our important instructions about mailing instructions here!

RSVP DATE

4 weeks prior to the wedding date.
